Our Collection

Our books come from a private library in a smoke-free home. Most books are protected by removable mylar dust jacket covers. We always do our best to describe our books accurately, however feel free to reach out with any questions!

Return Policy

Any book may be returned within fourteen days of receipt for a full refund. It must be in the same condition as originally sent. Please contact us first to arrange a return. Internationally shipped items are not available for returns.

All photographs are of the actual item in the condition it will be delivered to you. We package each item carefully to eliminate any risk of damage during shipping. Items will be shipped within two to three days from when you place your order.

Rare first edition, first printing of John Steinbeck's magnum opus 'East of Eden' in beautiful condition.

Contains all markers of true first printing. 'First Published by Viking Press in 1952' and 'Printed in U.S.A. by H Wolff Book Manufacturing Co.' stated on copyright page. 'Bite' typo present on page 281. First state dust jacket with author portrait and no reviews. Original $4.50 price intact.

Includes original dust jacket in near fine condition. Jacket has an approx. 1-inch closed tears on bottom and front top near fold, edge wear present on top and bottom of jacket. Book itself in near fine condition with no markings, inscriptions, or creasing. Small stain present on front text block.

Steinbeck considered East of Eden to be his magnum opus. The novel explores several generations of families in the Salinas Valley from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries.

Dust Jacket is protected by removable mylar cover.
